Registration for Certified Specialist in Catastrophe Risk (CSCR) Exam 2 is Open

April 24, 2019

The CAS Institute is pleased to announce that the second exam for the Certified Specialist in Catastrophe Risk (CSCR) credential – Catastrophe Insurance Fundamentals – is now available.

One of the main textbooks used for the exam, Catastrophe Modeling: A New Approach to Managing Risk, is also heavily used in Exam 3 – Introduction to Catastrophe Modeling.  The textbook, written and edited primarily by catastrophe experts in London, reinforces the global application of the credential. Both of our current catastrophe credentials are applicable for professionals worldwide.

The Learning Objectives, Syllabus and Assigned Reading List are all available on our Catastrophe Risk Management Credential website.  Exam registration includes one textbook; additional textbooks will be listed in the syllabus.

Together with ISCM, The CAS Institute will continue to expand and develop its catastrophe risk offerings in the coming months and years.
