Earlier this week The CAS Institute (iCAS) sponsored the Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA) 2018 Annual Meeting and Seminar held in Philadelphia, PA.
The seminar brought together a diverse audience of insurers and technology service providers, with sessions focused on innovative strategies encompassing leadership, analytics, governance, content management, mobility, connectivity, security, and other operational matters to help its participants get ahead of the data management curve. Peter Bothwell, FCAS, member of the iCAS Leadership Advisory Council, led a session on the value of “dark data.” Jim Weiss, FCAS, CSPA, CPCU presented on the importance of ethics and professionalism in data analytics.
iCAS hosted a booth in the exhibit hall, where iCAS Director Amy Brener spoke with attendees and provided information about the Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA) credential.
