Chris Monsour, FCAS, CSPA, MAAA, vice president, analytics at CNA and Jim Guszcza, FCAS, CSPA, MAAA, Ph.D., chief data scientist at Deloitte, shared their analytics expertise at The Data Science Conference last week in Chicago. The two day event, which featured talks on data science, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence and other related topics, was attended by accomplished data scientists from a wide variety of domains.
Monsour opened the two-day event with a presentation exploring training and credentialing in data science, including an overview of the Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA) designation from The CAS Institute (iCAS). Guszcza spoke the following day to attendees about the need to incorporate user-centered design into artificial intelligence scenarios and systems.
