Call for Presentations: iCAS Data Science and Analytics Forum at RPM 2026

August 11, 2025

The future of insurance is being shaped by AI, data science, and innovation — and we want you to be a part of the conversation.

The iCAS Data Science and Analytics Forum is now accepting proposals for presentations at its 2026 event, held in conjunction with the CAS Ratemaking, Product, and Modeling (RPM) Seminar, March 16–18, 2026, in Chicago, IL.

Submit your presentation idea!

Preferred Topics Include:

  • Regulatory Perspectives on Emerging Technologies
  • The Actuarial Journey: From Paper to Excel to AI (Volunteer panelists welcome!)
  • Model and AI applications that aren’t on the CAS actuarial exams
  • Keeping up as a small team
(How can teams of 2–3 level up when large actuarial teams have access to more resources?)
  • Data Management: Structured and Unstructured Challenges
  • The Limits of AI
    (Agentic AI, LLMs, etc.)
  • Overview of New Actuarial Tools and Platforms
  • Relevancy and Practicality of Traditional Methodologies vs. AI

Submissions are due by October 1, 2025

We also welcome additional topics. Presentations that include case studies or real-life applications are highly sought after and will be prioritized in the evaluation process.

First-time and non-actuarial speakers are encouraged. The CAS offers a free course for new presenters, and presentation support is also available from the iCAS Committee upon request.

How to Submit:

  • Go to the submission page and create an account for abstractscorecard.com
  • Start a new “Abstract” for the 2026 Scorecard
  • At the top, you should see that you are submitting for the RPM
  • In section three, “Session Information”, select “iCAS Forum Submission” as your topic.
  • Fill out the required fields in each section with your session information!

If you have any questions, or if you would like additional support with your proposal (especially if you are a first time speaker), you can reach out to info@thecasinstitute.org for additional assistance.

Too often, data scientists underestimate the value of what they know. If you’re excited about a topic or technique, chances are others will be too. This is your chance to make an impact.

Submit today!

Remember, when filling out the submission form, make sure to select “iCAS Forum Submission” as your topic!
